Celebrate the Art of Wooden Boating at Pentwater Yacht Club
Each year, on the fourth Saturday of August, we step back in time to celebrate the craftsmanship, history, and camaraderie of wooden and classic boat owners. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Pentwater, this beloved event has become a highlight of the summer season.
The stunning display of boats, both on land and in the water, offers the Pentwater community a memorable experience year after year. In recent years, the show has featured more than 50 beautifully restored and preserved boats, along with vendors and countless guests who admire these floating masterpieces in awe.

The 2026 Wooden and Classic Boat Show
The Boats. The Harbor. The Tradition.
It's the one time each year that the public can join us for lunch without being accompanied by a member. The show is open to the public and will feature dozens of vintage and classic boats. Brands like Chris-Craft, Century, Garwood and Lyman will be among those represented.
The day includes:
Boats on display beginning at 11:00 am.
Engine start-up at noon.
Buffet lunch from noon to 2:00 pm.
Awards presented beginning at 3:00 pm ("Best Wooden", "Best Classic", "Best of Show", as well as "Century" & "Chris-Craft" club awards). Visitors will get to vote for the "People’s Choice Award".
Boats’ owners parade around the lake at approximately 3:30 pm.
Commodore’s review at 4:00 pm.
The Boat Show Parade will be held at 3:30 and each year we have more and more members joining us at PYC to see these works of art and hear their amazing motors. Please consider joining us at 3:30 for a drink and an awesome display of classic boats! Let's make this turnout the biggest one yet!
