Membership Dues and Fees

Please mark your calendar with an annual reminder that your invoice for PYC dues and fees will be emailed to you in mid-January. All member dues and fees must be postmarked by March 1 to avoid a late fee. Payments received after March 1 will incur a $150 per person late fee, and you will have until April 1 to pay your invoice in full. If payment is not received by April 1, your PYC membership will be forfeited.

Membership Application
Thank you for your interest in joining the Pentwater Yacht Club.
The Pentwater Yacht Club currently maintains a capped membership of 600 individuals to preserve the quality of experience, access to facilities, and community character that our members value. Twelve new members were accepted in 2024, and twenty-five new members joined in 2025. As of this date, the club has 479 individuals on the waitlist for membership.
Applicants for membership to the Pentwater Yacht Club are required to secure a sponsor. The sponsor must be a current member in good standing. Sponsors are obligated to maintain consistent communication with their applicants including those on the waitlist, and to provide regular updates regarding their application status. Sponsors shall serve as the primary liaison between the applicant and the Club.

Membership Application Procedures

Step 1:
Complete the online "Intent to Apply" form with contact details and your sponsor's name.
Print, sign, and return, the signature page with a $100 fee per person ($200 per couple) to: Member Operations Chair, Pentwater Yacht Club, PO Box 607, Pentwater, MI 49449.
Completed submissions with payment will only be accepted by mail. Submissions received within 30 days of completing the online form, will be added to the waitlist and a confirmation email will be sent. Online forms submitted without paid fees will be deleted after 30 days. Acceptance to the PYC Membership waitlist does not automatically guarantee membership in the Pentwater Yacht Club.
Step 2:
When your name is among the top 50 on the waitlist, you will be provided with the required application documents. You will then have 30 days to complete the formal application process. This process puts the review of required information much closer to the actual invitation to join.
