We are a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to stimulate and improve water activities including sailing, power boating, and associated sports; promote and engage in social activities, recreation and good fellowship; and sponsor the activities of the youth of the club.

Bylaws and standing rules are both essential for governing an organization like the PYC, but these two categories serve different purposes.  Bylaws establish the basic rules for the organization, including its purpose, structure, membership requirements, and election procedures.  Standing rules, on the other hand, are more detailed and specific rules that provide guidelines for administering the organization's day-to-day operations.  They address administrative procedures, committee assignments, and other matters that are not covered in the bylaws.
