2018 Season - #18 (Aug 20)


Next 7 Days (Tues, Aug. 21 – Monday, Aug. 27)    

Wed – Bridge Club 1 p.m.  Ensign Race 5 p.m.   Basket Night 5 p.m.   

Thurs – Bar opens 5 p.m.  Thursday Night Dinner 6:30 p.m.  “PYC Lasagna,” Italian salad, Papa John’s Italian bread w/olive oil dipping sauce, special Tiramisu dessert with spumoni ice cream.   Includes one glass of Chianti. Tickets on sale now.

Fri – Dinner special:  Salmon with sweet Habanero (means “of Havana”) sauce.  

Sat -- 21st Wooden & Classic Boat Show.  Open to public.  Registration 9-11 a.m.  (Exhibitor forms posted on PYC Website.)  Show opens 11 a.m. Engine start when Village siren sounds at noon.  Buffet lunch noon-2 p.m. Awards 3 p.m. -- public may vote for “People’s Choice” Award; “Best Century” and “Best in Show” awards also presented.  Boats parade around Pentwater Lake beginning at 3:30 p.m. Commodore’s review at 4 p.m. For sale: vintage boat parts, collectibles, souvenir t-shirts.  Questions to Dave Peterhans or Frode Maaseidvaag.

Sat -- Bloody Mary Bar 10 a.m.   Offshore (1 p.m.) races.  Dinner special:  Salmon with sweet Habanero (means “of Havana”) sauce.  

Sun  – Bloody Mary Bar 10 a.m.    

Mon – Soling Race 3 p.m.   Enjoy Broken Mast Happy Hour while you’re watching race!

Thurs, Aug. 30 – Last Thursday Night Dinner of season:  Tailgate Party served at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets on sale one week prior. PYC staff will be our guests that evening.

Fri, Aug. 31 – End of Summer Blues Event w/Thirsty Perch Blues Band.  7-9:30 p.m. Buffet of BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, and pulled pork available during dinner hours for $15 (regular menu not available this evening).     

Sun, Sept. 2 -- Desserts for the Deserving event. 7 p.m.  Open to all members who have volunteered in any way this season.  Dining hours will be extended from 7-9 p.m. because of Labor Day Weekend.  

Mon, Sept. 3 – Labor Day Rafting Party.  Gather in the “Little Bayou” area of Pentwater Lake.  Bring an appetizer to share and BYOB. Rain location is Channel Lane Park.  All welcome!! Don’t have a boat? Ask a good friend who has one. A great way to cap this summer.  Questions to Marsha LaHaye.

Also … “Celebration of Life” for PYC member Janie Denman, who died Aug. 5, will be held in Michigan next Spring.

 RESERVATIONS ENCOURAGED ON WED. BASKET NIGHT, ON FRI/SAT BETWEEN 5-7 PM, AND ANY DAY FOR LARGE PARTIES.  Best to call 231.869.8921 as far in advance as possible. Leave voicemail w/your name, date and seating time preference, number in party, and call-back number.

*Daily:  Complimentary cookies/tea/coffee 11 am until gone.  BROKEN MAST HAPPY HOUR DAILY (except Thurs) 3-5 pm. Appetizers $1-off.  House wines $4.50. Draft beer $4. Domestic beer $2.50. Well brands $3.50.  

*Mon/Tues: Club/Bar Open 10 am–10 pm.  Breakfast sandwich 10 am–2 pm. Lunch 11 am-9 pm. Dinner 5-9 pm.   

*Wed:  Club/Bar Hours 10 am-10 pm.  Breakfast sandwich 10 am – 2 pm.  Lunch 11 am - 5 pm. (Note: Basket Night 5-9 pm.; full dinner menu not available).

*Thurs:  Club closed (staff day off) until 5 pm when bar opens for Thursday Night Dinner (served 6:30 pm).  Tickets sold at bar one week prior.

*Fri: Club/Bar Hours 10 am-11 pm.  Breakfast sandwich 10 am – 2pm.  Lunch 11 am-9 pm. Dinner 5-9 pm. "Late Arrival" limited menu 9-10 pm.  Bar open 11 pm-2 am ONLY IF MEMBERS PRESENT.
